Lucinda Williams - 2 Kool 2 Be 4-Gotten (Live performance from February 20, 1999) Video

Not my rip, thanks to a fellow German fan who uploaded this for a... project.

For those who sorely missed this stunning masterpiece from Lucinda's otherwise pitch-perfect 1998 performance at Austin City Limits, well, rejoice! If nothing else, a serious contender for best song ever.

They wouldn't let me upload Lucinda's other performance (Can't Let Go) from the same episode. I'm sorry.

something i love ...
something i love about this performance besides her "great nashville band" (great being an understatement) is how lucinda seems almost devoted? to contemplation there. sometimes we can't see her big weary eyes, because she's looking down - when she sings those last three hey-heys she closes them. after watching this performance i understood that the only way to really experience this song is to put your hands in your pockets (just like lucinda did) and to conjure up a vacant stare.
